This seasonal herbal formula is for the dog days of Summer. It has been used for millennia to quickly hydrate, clear heat, and regulate body temperature when you've been exposed to extreme heat, or aren't tolerating high temperatures well.∞

You want this in your Summer medicine cabinet if you are prone to:

• Big thirst for ice water
• Racing or pounding pulse
• Easy to break a big sweat
• Flushed face
• Red tongue
• Exhaustion
• Symptoms worse in the heat
• History of Heat Stroke or Heat Exhaustion
• Feeling feverish
• Or are often outside in the heat

Possible patterns treated: yang ming channel heat, stomach heat consuming fluids, lung fire

Formula Action:  Clear yang ming channel heat, protect and revive yin fluids

Contraindications: 

Spleen yang deficiency patients should not use unless emergency, then only for one day.

Not for long term use, re-evaluate need after 2 days if taken for acute symptoms as to not harm spleen yang and qi.

Pregnancy and menstruation: can be taken if the pattern fits for up to 2 days in pregnancy or during menstruation, but once fluids are restored discontinue formula, as it is too cold.

Dosage & Duration of Use: 15 ml at onset of symptoms, repeat after 2 hours if symptoms persist. Discontinue when heart rate returns to normal and excessive heat has dissipated. Not intended for long-term use.

Base Formula: Bai Hu Jia Ren Shen Tang
